PRESS REVIEW

GAMEBLOG

... A lot of care taken on the missions and dialogues writtings (outstanding, in English and in French).

JEUX ACTU

Pros: The scenario and Tanner's lines. And for those who feared losing the credibility of the series story up until now, be relieved: The machine is well-oiled, with often comical dialogues, great freaking out moments (nothing strange here, given the series) and an outcome that will put everyone straight. [...] Not only is there a variety of situations in the game, but these are often really funny because Tanner literally goes into other persons' body and works in somewhat unexpected talks (husband/wife argument, tense father/daughter relationship, driving lesson turning into a nightmare for the instructor...). In short: delightful!

XBOXYGEN

Nothing is lacking! The colorful and warm atmosphere of San Francisco the way it's often pictured in movies, the funky music, but also the well written dialoges between Tanner and his partner that makes you want to see Huggy Bear. A real treat that makes you want to bang your head, driving at max speed.

DIRECT STAR (TV)

From Bertrand Amard about Driver: "an excellent soundtrack, as much for the french dubbing as for the music".

GAME-FOCUS

Pros: Great actors, great voices, and I have to emphasise the perfect work of Ubisoft that presents us with a game of very good quality in french, backed up by actors perfectly in tune for this kind of game.

JEUX VIDEO NETWORK

Ok, sometimes we think these kinds of missions have hardly anything to do with Tanner's job as a cop. But the dialogues are funny, as well as the situations, and all this is sufficiently derisively turned to make the player fall for it.

JEUX VIDEO 24

The storyline somewhat drops the mafia and underground spirit of the first games, to old players' disapointement. Nonetheless, it becomes funnier thanks to lots of cut-scenes featuring often chatty and second-degree characters. An output that makes the player get into Tanner's skin.

PLAYFRANCE

As usual in the series, a big emphasis is put on the music, with no less than 77 hits. The french dubbing is very nicely made, and the sound effects get you immerged at the core of the action (with engine and twisted bodywork noises perfectly credible and the dubbing fully convincing).

GAMEKULT

The french dubbing is generally well interpreted (with some of the voice from the Prison Break series).
